Two Years Ago

My friend over at Diaper Diaries tagged me for this meme a couple of weeks ago, and I thought it was appropriate to post on the two year anniversary of meeting my husband. He moved into my apartment complex for the spring/summer semesters and was dating someone when he moved in. I actually thought his roommates were cute and hung out with them a lot before I even started talking to him. Luckily, he came to his senses and broke up with the girl he was dating pretty soon after we met. We started hanging out two days later and haven't been apart since.

How long did you date? 2 1/2 months until we were engaged; 6 1/2 before we were married.

How old is he? 23, turning 24 at the end of the month.

Who eats more? I could probably go without for the rest of my life and really not care- He can eat at all hours of the day and still be hungry.

Who said “I love you” first? He did.

Who is taller? I'll let you guess on this one. I'll give you a hint- I'm 5"0 on good days.

Who is smarter? It depends on what you're talking about. I've got my expertise, and he's got his. If I really had to choose someone, I'd pick him. He's probably one of the smartest people I've ever met, but I come pretty close.

Whose temper is worse? Neither of us really have tempers, but I'm known for a pretty cold shoulder at times.

Who does the laundry? We actually both do our own. I'm sure this will change someday, but we have a tiny combination washer/dryer right now and only one person can fit their clothes in at a time.

Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? If you're facing the bed, I do. If you're lying on the bed facing the end of the bed, he does.

Who pays the bills? Who literally makes the money to pay the bills or who actually pays them? The answer to either question is me. Eventually he'll bring in the money but law school doesn't allow for much time to work.

Who cooks dinner? It depends on the night. If I had my way, he would cook every night, and I'm bake some yummy dessert. If he wasn't in law school, I would be in support of him going to culinary school. He can do some amazing things with food.

Who drives when you are together? Me, always. It has nothing to do with the fact that driving a stick shift in DC makes him nervous. It's more that anyone else driving while I'm in the front seat makes me nervous. It's a control thing. If I have control over the car, I'm much less likely to be in an accident.

Who is more stubborn? We're both pretty stubborn. I'd say we're even.

Who kissed who first? He kissed me and then I spent the entire night wondering if I'd done something wrong.

Who is the first to admit when they are wrong? It depends on who is actually right. See stubborn question. If one of us really thinks we're right, we have a hard time backing down.

Whose parents do you see the most? It's kind of a toss up. I could definitely say that we see our dads more than our moms though. Thank goodness for business trips.

Who proposed? This is a sensitive subject. It was more of a mutual thing where we just realized that we didn't ever want to be apart again after I came home from a trip to Cozumel. I wore a plastic ring from NickelCade until two weeks before our wedding.

Who is more sensitive? Sensitive, me. Emotional, him.

Who has more friends? I'll go with a cop out answer and say I have more friends in DC than he does. Around the world, it's probably pretty even.

Who has more siblings? I do, but it's pretty close. I've got four; he's got three.

Who wears the pants in the family? I plead the fifth.

You know how you imagine how people/internet friends look? Well, for some reason, I had you pictured as tall! Who knew you were a shortie? Only 5 foot, eh? Never thought it.
