Thursday Thirteen #31: Thirteen Things I Want to Do With My Husband

The countdown begins. I'm writing this at 10:00 AM. My husband takes his last final to finish up his first year of law school in four hours. Three hours later, he will officially be done. And I couldn't be happier. Here are thirteen things I plan to do with my husband at some point in the next four months he has off before school starts again.

If you have any great additions to this list or things you think we should do, definitely let me know. I'm open to any and all suggestions.

  1. Go on a relaxing cruise.
  2. Go to Disneyworld.
  3. Go to the carnival at Landmark mall.
  4. Fall asleep with him actually next to me in the bed, rather than still at his desk.
  5. Sit down and eat a real dinner together, like at our dining room table.
  6. Play lots and lots of games.
  7. Have a bbq.
  8. Go see some of the sites in DC and enjoy the outdoors.
  9. Watch all of the movies we missed in the past year while cuddling on our couch.
  10. Sleep in on Saturday without feeling like we need to be doing anything.
  11. Go on a weekend getaway without a laptop or textbook.
  12. Talk to and see our family.
  13. Love him with no reservations.
Congratulations bunny on making it through the first year. They say it's the toughest, and I hope they're (whoever they are) right. I can't wait to spend an incredibly long and fun summer with you.

I think the only thing on your list that my husband would be up for doing is #13. Everything else he'd totally be a bore about.

Aww, if you guys are making it through the work, the studying, the lack of time together, you will be good.

What a great list!

I can help with the bbq goal. We set up our barbeque and patio furniture last night, it looks great and I'm so excited to barbeque soon!

Yea! Congratulations. You survived through the worst of it. I'm jealous that you're going to have a full time husband again for the next few months. Hope you guys have fun!

you definitely survived the worst (i was with my ex during law school). it gets easier from here...accept studying for the bar. he'll go into hibernation then too. but don't think about that....just enjoy the summer!

Your list of things sounds fun, too. (In fact, I might have to steal a couple of your ideas :)

ahw thats so awesome tell him i said good luck with the test today! i hope you guys have the time of your life this summer, and milk it up with everything you have! now i'm in the situation where you guys were... my husband is working over 70 hours a week, and i told him the other night when we laid down to go to bed at 2 am i said "evan i miss having my husband around." and all he could say was i wish i could be.. anyhow, so have fun while you can!

Cool beans for him finishing up his first year and for both of you for getting to spend more time together!

I didn't know there was a carnival at Landmark mall. Is that like an all year thing or is it an event? I'm so confused!

Great list! I hope you get to do everything on it. :o)

That picture is adorable!! Weekend getaways are JUST what the doctor ordered. Not too expensive and just right to forget reality for a while :)

I have a suggestion- come see us in Cincy, stay in our new house, go to King's Island, eat at Montgomery Inn, Skyline and Greaters! Maybe we could arrange for your fam to be here too! It would feel like old times again!!! What do you think?!?!?!
